In the wake of the deth of Michael Jackson, I wonder if there is anyone who is not a fan of his music? I'm not, but it's not a hate thing as much as it is just that his music just didn't do anything for me. It just wasn't as interesting as other stuff.

I was not a fan either. There were a couple pretty songs that I liked, but overall, not a fan.

Same here, a few songs that were ok, but not a fan of his stuff.

Same here. He had a few songs that kinda sort of made me want to get up and dance. His singing was ok; I just wasn't a big fan of his music.

Part of it is that I'm more interested in listening to music than dancing to it, and most dance music is not very interesting to just listen to.

i never really liked him either, well some of his songs were great of course but he always had a strange voice. :). now i've really grown to like him, and i even went to the trouble of geting my own copy of thriller!. now he's gone, you learn to like him more, as he's played more and more every day. he's a legend and his music will live forever, despite what anyone thinks.

I agree with the last poster. I'd like to add that I think it's a shame it takes his death for his fanbase to grow.

From the conversations I've had with sighted friends, I suspect that Jackson's real talents were his dancing, various visual stunts and his creative use of multimedia concepts. As a blind person, I really can't comment on these things, but I just don't think that his music was anything special. Also, like Godzilla-on-Toast, I'm just not into dance music all that much.

From the conversations I've had with sighted friends, I gather that Jackson's real talents were in the areas of dancing and other kinds of visual performance. As a blind person, I can't comment on any of that, but I just don't think his music was anything special. Also, like Godzilla-On-Toast, I'm just not into dance music all that much, preferring music that I can sit and listen to.
